Awareness Scholarship

Who is Eligible:
Graduating seniors of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights who have chosen to live a healthy, substance-free life throughout high school.

What the Scholarship Honors:
Students who demonstrate strength of character, good judgment, and the courage to stand by their values. Recipients serve as role models, showing that life can be lived fully, joyfully, and successfully without alcohol or drugs.

In Memory of Monika Skrzypkowski:
This scholarship was created in memory of Monika Skrzypkowski, who tragically lost her life at age 15 when someone made the poor choice to drink and drive. It honors her by inspiring students to make responsible choices, value integrity, and live substance-free lives.
